Cooking with Neighbours

Share a meal, share a story, and share the joy of cooking at Notting Hill Neighbourhood House with our Cooking with Neighbours program, held every second Friday from 5:30pm.

Each session, one of our talented neighbours steps into the kitchen to lead a small, hands-on cooking class, teaching participants how to prepare a favourite family dish. It is a wonderful way to bring people together through the shared love of food, culture, and conversation.

Over time, our community chefs have guided us through delicious recipes such as Vietnamese Cơm Tấm, lemongrass chicken and prawn rice paper rolls, banana fritters, zucchini and ricotta fritters, and hearty mushroom and leek pasta. Every class offers something unique and always something tasty.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, extra meals are often packaged up and shared with families in need, extending the warmth of the evening beyond the kitchen.

We are so grateful to every cook who has shared their time, skills, and stories, and to everyone who has joined us to learn. We cannot wait to see and smell what is next.

If you are interested in participating in Cooking with Neighbours, we would love to have you join us. Get in touch or book via the link below.
