Container Deposit Scheme

At Notting Hill Neighbourhood House, we participate in the Container Deposit Scheme, making it easy for the community to recycle and support our programs at the same time.

Cans and eligible containers can be deposited in the purple collection bin located at the front of the neighbourhood house. Every contribution helps reduce waste and raise funds for programs our community enjoys.

A special thank-you goes to Kathy (“Dog Nanny”), our dedicated volunteer who manages the scheme. Every couple of months, Kathy takes the bin to the depot, turning bottles and cans into donations—raising $209 last year. Her commitment shows how small actions can make a big difference.
